The two children who were killed in a house fire in Seliste, Nisporeni on January 24 did not attend kindergarten. Mariana Ivanov, secretary of the local mayor’s office, said the family was socially underprivileged and the parents used to drink alcohol, Info-Prim Neo reports. Maria Fonaru, an employee of the local kindergarten, said that he does not remember at least one of the five children of the family coming ever to the kindergarten. When the tragedy struck, there were three children in the house, who were left in the supervision of the daughter of a neighbor. The girl managed to save the smallest child – a girl younger than two. The eldest brothers, aged 14 and 15, weren’t at home. The cause of death and the whereabouts of the parents are yet to be established.
