The health authorities want to regulate the child’s age by which the parents can be hospitalized together with their children. A draft decision to amend the common mandatory health insurance program stipulates the age of 10, while for children with disability or seriously ill children of 18, IPN reports.
This way, the children will be hospitalized together with the mother, father or caretaker, other family members, such as the grandmother and grandfather, for looking after the child younger than ten. Also, in the case of a child who suffers from cancer, a child with disability or a seriously ill child (with medical notice of additional care), this will be possible up to the age of 18.
The persons with intellectual disabilities and the persons with severe locomotor disabilities could also be hospitalized with personal assistants.
The volume of medical services as part of ambulatory specialized medical assistance will be supplemented with services to make and fix individual oro-maxilo-facial or eye prostheses to patients with anophthalmia, partial or full defect of the eyeball, regardless of etiology, by oncologists, including for patients with head and neck defects due to tumors.
