The children who are under the supervision of the Oncological Institute will receive presents on the occasion of the winter holidays as part of the campaign “Life Deserves to be Lived” through which coins and banknotes totaling 94,500 lei were collected. The campaign was carried out on the initiative and with the assistance of the charity store Shop-Mesto.
Contacted by IPN for details, the store’s manager Inga Bostan said that the presents will be bought and packed until December 29. “We are looking for a number of presents we haven’t yet found, but will buy them today. Candies will be purchased for everyone in a centralized way, but we are also searching for special gifts wanted by the children, such as musical instruments or books. We received a total of 52 letters from children,” stated Inga Bostan.
An online matinee will be staged on December 30. After it, the presents will be distributed to children at the Oncological Institute. Those who will not be present there will receive them later, when they return for treatment, or will get them through the agency of their parents.
The campaign has been staged the ninth year, but it is the first campaign conducted under the aegis of Shop-Mesto.
