Over 30,000 children of kindergartens based in Chisinau will receive presents at the winter matinees. The municipality decided to allocate almost 720,000 lei for the purpose, IPN reports.
The financial resources will be allotted from the savings made this year on children’s alimentation. The Chisinau City Hall said the savings on food were made following children’s absences from the kindergarten and the quality of menus was no way affected.
The presents will be bought from different companies and will be accompanied by certificates of compliance. The candies will be distributed to kindergartens until December 20.
Mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban called on the mayors of suburban settlements to identify similar solutions so as to offer presents to kindergarten children on the occasion of the winter holidays.
