The children of kindergarten No. 183 of Chisinau made a five-meter long pumpkin pie within the Festival “Pumpkin in Voinicel Kindergarten” that is held between October 31 and November 4, IPN reports.
Director of the host kindergarten Ioana Teaca said the festival activities are staged at group level and at kindergarten level. The goal was to involve all the children of the kindergarten and parents. The kids created different things that they exhibited in the nursery school and also performed other activities. Today the children made a huge pie and cakes in the form of pumpkin. It is very important to develop life habits in children.
The kindergarten’s chef Nina Fulga said it is for the first time that such a long pie was made there. They used about 4 kg of flour and approximately 5 kg of pumpkin. The pie will be enough to feed about 100 children, but the cooks will make more pies so as to be sufficient for everyone.
The Festival “Pumpkin in Voinicel Kindergarten”, held under the auspices of the Chisinau General Division of Education, Youth and Sport, includes masterclasses to teach children how to sculpture in fruit and vegetables and to decorate pumpkins and other activities that will be staged in kindergartens this week.
