Children late for classes owing to snow

The students in Chisinau were late for classes today because of the difficult traffic. The head of the Chisinau Division of Education, Youth and Sport Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb has told Info-Prim Neo that the teachers were understanding and allowed the children to go in even if they were very late. According to the Ministry of Education, the students of 61 schools are still on unplanned vacations. Thirty-five of these schools are situated in Cantemir district. The classes at 50 education institutions in 13 districts were shortened to 30-35 minutes. As the roads were blocked, the students from 19 settlements could not be taken to the district schools. The school managers and teacher councils are to agree a schedule to hold the failed classes. The education institutions in 14 districts work as usual.
