Three children perished in a house fire in Drasliceni village of Criuleni district on January 8, close to midnight. The girls aged four, two and one, respectively, suffered carbon monoxide poisoning, IPN reports, quoting the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service.

The 901 service was called at 23:13pm. When on the spot, the firemen established that the bed linen close to the stove in a room was burning. The girls didn’t survive.

The violation of the rules of using stoves is the preliminary case of fire. Firefighters warn the parents not to leave the children in rooms with burning stoves.

A number of 62 fires occurred in Moldova so far this year.
