The free provision of dental services for children from rural localities will be resumed starting September 2. Mobile teams of dentists will visit the districts of Cantemir, Leova, Cimislia, Hâncești between September and December this year. The services are covered with money from the prophylaxis measures fund of the National Health Insurance Company m(CNAM), IPN reports.
“We want as many children as possible, regardless of where they live, to have access to quality dental care. We thus contribute to the prevention of dental problems and promote oral health from an early age,” said Anna Ciorici, coordinating specialist of the Health Insurance Division of the CNAM.
Since the beginning of the year, about 6,300 children from various rural localities of the Republic of Moldova have benefited from free dental services worth almost 2.627 million lei. The mobile teams of dentists traveled to 60 localities in the districts of Straseni, Criuleni, Causeni, Nisporeni, Dubasari, Cahul.
For the provision of dental services by mobile teams of specialists, more than 5 million lei was planned in the prophylaxis measures fund for 2024.
