Children from Crihana-Veche village will receive Christmas gifts smelling smoke

The children from a kindergarten in Crihana-Veche village, Cahul raion, will enjoy Christmas gifts thanks to the great courage showed by an employee of “Pro-Lumina” Association, who succeeded in saving the gifts from a fire. Head of Firemen Service in Cahul, Ghenadie Popa, told Info-Prim Neo that the Renault car which was transporting the gifts burst into flames near Cahul town, due to a short-circuit. Driver Vasile Dumea, aged 45, has switched off the engine and managed to take out of the flaming van all the gifts intended for the children of the kindergarten. Ghenadie Popa says investigations to establish the cause of the fire are underway.
