Children from “Casa Gavroche” visited by team of Young Journalist’s Center

Young journalists who form part of the team of the Young Journalist’s Center of Moldova paid a visit to the placement center “Casa Gavroche”. They brought the children books, clothes, school supplies and toys. The young journalists sang carols and staged games involving Santa Clause and the Snow White, Info-Prim Neo reports. “Casa Gavroche” is the only center in the municipality of Chisinau that deals with the rehabilitation and resocialization of children at risk of being abandoned. The visit to “Casa Gavroche” forms part of the campaign “Be Better on Christmas”, whereby the young journalists aim to facilitate the dialogue with the children in difficulty. Members and volunteers of the Young Journalist’s Center plan to produce journalistic materials about the children of the placement center “Casa Gavroche” for the print media, radio and TV during two weeks. They aim to sensitize the people to the dangers of abandonment and domestic violence.
