Children from Budesti to rest in Romania

About 50 children from Budesti commune of Chisinau municipality will leave for Cumpana commune of Romania’s Constanta county on June 3. There they will rest, exchange opinions with fellows from Romania and will go on trips to historical places. The visit is organized based on a twinning agreement between the two communes signed in 2009. According to the mayor of Budesti Nina Costiuc, new projects are being launched this year with the support of the chairman of the Constanta County Council Nicusor Daniel Constantinescu. They include the organization of the summer vacation of children and the complementation of the book stocks of all the rural libraries of Moldova. Currently, 80% of the books of the Moldovan rural libraries are in Cyrillic script. A book collection campaign is staged in Constanta county to gather books for the Moldovan libraries, said Nina Costiuc.
