Two children in Moscovei village of Cahul district were saved from a fire that engulfed their house last night. According to the General Inspectorate for Emergencies, the flames destroyed a part of the roof of the house and an annex. The fire started after midnight, when the children were home alone, IPN reports.
When the firefighters arrived, they could not immediately enter the house as the door was locked. A girl aged five and a boy aged eight were inside in a distant room. They were taken out of the house on time.
Children’s parents were in the village on a visit. They face a fine of up to 900 lei or up to 60 hours of community service for leaving the minors unsupervised.
