A benefit carol concert organized by Cristina Scarlat will be given at the Organ Hall on December 9. Proceeds will go to the family of a three-year-old girl who was born with malformation and needs expensive surgery to be able to hear.

Contacted by IPN for details, Cristina Scarlat said that when she heard about Polina’s case, she could not remain indifferent and pondered how she can become involved to help the girl’s parents. They need almost US$200,000 for the surgery that is performed in the U.S. Even the smallest contribution matters.

“It is a very sensitive case and we decided to mobilize by organizing a charity concert. On the one hand, we will entertain the public with carols before the winter holidays. On the other hand, we will together contribute by purchasing tickets. The money will help this great child. This is a special case. The children from our team will sing to help Polina hear, to work this miracle,” said the singer.

The concert will feature Cristina Scarlat’s pupils from the Music Studio “InTact-Art”.  “The pupils want this way to be solidary with and empathic towards Polina. This is very important aspect for our children. They will perform on the stage of the Organ Hall and will sing to offer Polina the chance to hear how music and life sound. That’s why we named the carol concert “Children for children,” stated the singer.

“This concert is the first of a series of charity projects. Polina’s case is the first we support. At the first stage, we will hold such concerts at least once a year or two times a year and will then increase the number of good deeds. This way we will manage to bring warmth to the homes of children who are in difficulty for different reasons. We want these concerts to involve as many children as possible so as to cultivate the feeling of empathy, love and respect for their mates,” noted Cristina Scarlat.
