Children fed expired food at village kindergarten, school

Expired food was found at the kindergarten Martisor and the school in Taul village, Donduseni district. Inspectors of the Consumer Protection Agency discovered apple juice, tomato sauce, oat flakes and sausages that were from 20 days to 3 years past their shelf lives, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The Consumer Protection Agency initiated the inspection following a consumer's complaint.
Besides the expired food, the inspection revealed foodstuffs that are not safe to be consumed by children, such as frankfurters and other types of sausages. Inspectors also discovered food without conformity certificates.
The mayor's office faces a fine of 12,000 lei.
