Children and teachers from family-type foster homes take part in a summer camp in Vadul lui Voda

132 children and teachers from 23 family-type foster homes (FTFH) will gather in the period of August 28-30 2006 in a summer camp organized in “Camping” camp by the Child, Community, Family (CCF) ONG Moldova in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Youth (MET). According to a MET press release, cited by Info-Prim Neo, the camp is supposed to give the children and teachers from FTFH the possibility to communicate and to rest. During their leisure the children will have activities on various topics, such as art therapy and vocational orientation. Meanwhile the teachers will take part in courses regarding communication with children of different ages, quality standards in FTFH education, methods of interaction with the children, business ideas etc. In the first day of the camp the initiation conference of the project “A better present – a better future” will take place; this project is intended for the foster homes and will aim the social and economic problems of these families. The project will be financed by the European Union and will be implemented by CCF Moldova in co-operation with MET, National Center of Child Abuse Prevention and Small Business Association from Moldova.
