The child victims of offenses or their legal representatives will be able to use state guaranteed legal aid services as provided by the amendments to the Law on Legal Aid approved by the Government, IPN reports.
Under the amendments, the application will be filed to the National Council for State Guaranteed Legal Aid which will name the lawyers who provide legal aid at request. They are paid for every case separately from money allocated from the state budget.
Justice Minister Oleg Efrim said the children more often become victims of offenses. The number of criminal cases started over use of violence against minors increases constantly.
The lawyers are paid about 1,565 lei for taking part in a criminal case.
