Child struck by car hospitalized in a serious condition

A six-year-old girl may remained confined to bed after receiving serious injuries in a road accident that happened on Alecu Russo St in Chisinau on Monday, Traffic Police Division spokeswoman Dana Andronic has told Info-Prim Neo. The girl suffered a cranial-cerebral trauma and a backbone fracture. She was admitted to the reanimatology section of the Mother and Child Center. A Daewoo car of the 1448 taxi service collided with a minibus running on route No. 108 at the intersection of the streets Armeneasca and Mitropolit Varlaam in Chisinau. A woman from the minibus sustained a cranial-cerebral trauma and a concussion. The accident was caused by the taxi as it did not give way to the minibus that was traveling on the main street. A similar accident occurred at the intersection of the streets Mihail Kogalniceanu and Maria Cibotari. An Opel Astra did not give way to a trolleybus and ran into it. A 20-year-old woman traveling in the trolleybus fell and suffered a thoracic trauma. Thirteen persons were hurt in accidents on the national roads yesterday and last night.
