Child seriously injured in traffic accident

An 11-year-old boy was hospitalised with serious traumas after being hit by a car. Chisinau Traffic Safety Service Inspector Ion Roscovanu told Info-Prim Neo that the accident happened on Sunday, around 2:00 PM, on Chisinau-Rezeni roadway, at about 50 meters from the entrance to the Bacioi village. The boy was hit by a Renault car, driven by a young man, 28. The child suffered serious traumas and was urgently driven to the intensive care section of “Valentin Ignatenco” Hospital. On Sunday, the Chisinau Municipal Road Police registered one accident with an injured person and another 10 minor accidents. The traffic police officers fined 217 drivers, including four for speeding, ten for ignoring traffic lights, 53 for driving unbuckled and other ten for drunk-driving.
