A Chadyr-Lunga boy, 12, got severely burned when he entered inside a transformer booth; found accidentally by a passer-by, the child was rushed to the hospital in a state of shock, Info-Prim Neo has learned from the utility RED Union Fenosa. The worst affected by the burns were the boy's upper limbs. His condition is stable and doctors hope it will remain so after he undergoes surgery. The utility said the boy had ignored all the restriction signs and basic safety rules, but the parents must also share part of the blame for not supervising the boy adequately. Furthermore, the transformer vault, owned by Chadyr-Lunga's town administration, hasn't seen repair or maintenance in years and it seems that no one cared to even lock it. Inspectors visiting the site in January noticed the absence of any lock whatsoever, but insisted that the problem was dealt with immediately.
