Child falls into sewage well in Chisinau

A three-year-old girl suffered different traumas when she fell into an open sewer before her mother's eyes. The incident happened at the intersection of the Chisinau streets Vadul lui Voda and Mesterul Manole on June 3. Anatol Proca, coordinating doctor of the Chisinau Ambulance Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the girl and her mother were waiting for the bus going to Tohatin village. The child took a wrong step and fell into the sewage well that was not covered. She suffered a concussion and shoulder injuries and was taken to Valentin Ignatenco Hospital. Four families – two from Truseni and by one from Chisinau and Gratiesti – got poisoned with fresh mushrooms and were hospitalized. Yesterday and last night, the Chisinau ambulance teams responded to 765 calls, dealing with 57 cases of viral infection, 80 cases of trauma, five strokes, three heart attacks, 20 deliveries and other cases.
