A boy aged one year and a half was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries after he fell from the second floor of an apartment building in Chisinau.
Silvia Babara, coordinating doctor at the Chisinau Ambulance Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the boy climbed up to the window, pushed the mosquito net and fell on asphalt near the house situated on Ialoveni St. The ambulance doctors diagnosed the child with injuries of the thorax and of the internal organs and fracture of the frontal bone. An accurate diagnosis will be made at “Valentin Ignatenko” Hospital, where the child was taken.
A 61-year-old man on July 2 fell from the second floor of a building located on Pandurilor St, when trying to get out of the apartment. His wife closed him inside so that he could not go to the bar with his friends. In two day, the man went to see his daughter-in-law and told her he had pains. The woman called an ambulance that took the man to the Emergency Hospital. He was diagnosed with a contusion and fractures of the ribs. Shortly afterward, the man ran away from the admission section of the hospital.
A woman aged 23 from Mitoc village of Orhei district took pills in order to kill herself. She was discovered in the street and taken to Saint Trinity Hospital.
Another woman, 40, was admitted to the same hospital after she poisoned by fresh mushrooms that she gathered in the wood. A 32-yar-old man was hospitalized after taking a drugs overdose.
Yesterday and last night, the Chisinau Ambulance Service responded to 729 calls, dealing with 77 cases of trauma, 81 cases of acute viral infection, four strokes and 20 deliveries.
