Prime Minister Pavel Filip, at the beginning of the August 1 meeting of the Cabinet, returned to the results of the surprise visit he made to the Leuseni –Albita border crossing point and customs post to see how the travelers cross the border in summer, when the flow is larger.

The Premier expressed his dissatisfaction with the attitude of the customs officers and border police officers to the people. The travelers are told to get out of buses together with their baggage, some of these with children in their arms, at night as well, including tourists, while other units of transport cross freely as the drivers pay an unofficial tax.

Pavel Filip asked that the Leuseni customs and border police chiefs should be dismissed. “I expect the order on the dismissal of these persons who do not deserve to work for a public service to be presented to me tomorrow,” he stated.
