The probability for the Government led by Ion Chicu to be removed is very low as a coalition between the ACUM Bloc and the Democratic Party is highly improbable, stated political commentator Cornel Ciurea. According to him, only in such a political conjuncture can one discuss the removal of the current executive that is supported by the Socialist MPs and President Igor Dodon and was voted in with the assistance of the Democratic MPs, IPN reports.

The commentator stated the ACUM Bloc is in a very difficult situation and the possibility of establishing cooperation relations with the Democratic Party following the dissolution of the coalition with the Socialists is not fully excluded.

Cornel Ciurea noted the current Government will continue to enjoy the support of Russia and this is normal in the current situation. “I think Russia will even give us money to show that not only the West offers us financial resources,” he said in the talk show “key issue” on NTV Moldova channel.

Journalist Valery Demidetskii stated that the Shor Party could vote for the removal of the Chicu Government if there is such an initiative in Parliament. The current executive will yet cope with the set tasks as it simply has no other way out. “Wanting the Chicu Government and President Dodon to fail now means wanting the country to fail,” he said.

The journalist also said that the current balanced foreign policy pursued by the government is correct and the interests of Moldova’s citizens can be safeguarded only this way. “If we speak only about the country, Moldova simply does not have an alternative. If we speak about politicians, these can act in a different way. Moldova should openly speak about its interests in the West and in the East and only then it will be heard and understood,” he opined.
