Moldovan chess player Viorel Bologan Wednesday drew 1-1 with Bulgaria's Ivan Cheparinov in the second round of the World Chess Cup held in the Russian town of Khanty-Mansiisk, Info-Prim Neo reports. Under the regulations, the winner will be decided in a run-off on Thursday, November 26. In the first round, Viorel Bologan defeated Egypt's Ahmed Adly by 1.5-0.5. Only 16 participants who will compete in 1/8 finals are now known. Among those who were eliminated from the competition are such favorites as Alexandr Morozevich from Russia, Vasili Ivanchuk from Ukraine and Teimur Radjabov from Azerbaijan. The World Chess Cup brought together 128 chess players from 40 countries.
