A charity fair entitled “Resources of Autumn” was staged at the dramatically secondary school “Ion Luca Caragiale” of Chisinau. The proceeds of the fair, 9,505 lei, will be donated to the parents of two children who receive treatment at the Hematological Section of the Oncological Institute, IPN reports.
According to the school’s vice director Smaranda Bejenari, besides exhibiting things made by hand, such as pencil cases, bracelets and butterfly bows, the children also brought cakes and pies that were mainly bought by students, teachers, parents and persons who live near the school.
The raised funds will be transferred to the public association “Life without leukemia” that will later transmit them to the parents of two boys, aged seven and eight, who are receiving treatment at the Oncological Institute. According to Smaranda Bejenari, the fairs are not only a charity event, but also a model of cultivating tolerance and kindness in children.
The dramatically secondary school “Ion Luca Caragiale” held such a fair for the first time.
