Charity concert to support ex-institutionalized chidlren

The Association “Amici de Bambini” will stage a charity concert themed “For You, Children of the World” at the National Philharmonic “Sergey Lunkevich” on December 1. The proceeds of the concert will go to support ex-institutionalized children, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the organizers, the concert will involve Anatol Marzenko, Geta Burlacu, Ana Barbu, Adrian Ursu, Victoria Lungu and other famous national singers. “The institutionalized children are afraid of the uncertain future, but hope that they will find the understanding, warmth and love that they missed. Only we are able to change the destiny of these children by acceptance, support and encouragement,” it is said in a communiqué issued by “Amici de Bambini”. The Association “Amici de Bambini” has worked in Moldova for over 10 years. It carried out different social activities aimed at protecting children’s rights and organized charity events. At a charity concert given in November 2008, there was raised 24 000 lei, while in November 2009 – 17 000 lei. The money was used to finance the university or college studies of ex-institutionalized children.
