Charity ball for people suffering from cancer

The Charity Social-Medical Foundation “Angelus Moldova” is staging the annual charity ball “Hospice Angelus”. The proceeds will be used to ensure the continuity of the free palliative services provided for people suffering from cancer, including children, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to a communiqué from the foundation, the third edition of the ball will be held under the auspices of His Highness, Princess Marina Sturdza. The organizers promise a pleasant evening full of surprises, with special invitees. The invitees will be given a reception with champagne that will be followed by a dinner with three types of foods, a draw, an exclusive auction and an entertainment program involving Dara, Univox, FurioSnail and other well-known Moldovan artists and bands. Tickets cost €75. The ball will take place at Leogrand Hotel on May 4, starting at 7pm.
The previous edition of the ball brought together 150 invitees. There were collected €25 000, which was the largest sum ever raised at a charity event in Moldova.
“Angelus Moldova” is a nongovernmental, apolitical and nonprofit organization that aims to build a new system of social-medical support for persons who have terminal cancer or cancer at an advanced stage and for their families. Over 1 000 patients suffering from incurable diseases have been looked after since 2000. About 8 000 people are annually diagnosed with cancer in Moldova, while 6 000 die from this disease.
