The patients who receive treatment for mild and moderate forms of COVID-19 at home or who are under rehabilitation can benefit from compensated drugs. The medicines will be prescribed by the family doctor, says the amended National Provisional Clinical Protocol and Standardized Clinical Protocol “Infection with Novel Coronavirus”, IPN reports.
There was also approved the list of lab and instrumental examinations for patients with severe forms of the disease. The children aged between 0 and 18 with asymptomatic forms, the children older than seven, the adults and pregnant women with mild forms of COVID-19, without associated sever diseases, and the adults with moderate forms of COVID-19, except for pregnant women, will be include in home treatment under the supervision of the family doctor.
The compensation for children is 100%, while for adults is over 70%.
As to the testing of the population for COVID-19, the use of rapid tests for detecting the infection was included. Moldova is to buy 300,000 such tests within the World Bank-funded project.
