The amendments made to the “First House“ program, which enable young people with small homes to also take part in this program, will be adopted by Parliament in two weeks, Democratic MP Corneliu Padnevici was quoted by IPN as saying in the talk show “Issue of the day” on Canal 2 channel, IPN reports.

The MP sad the bill concerning the extension of the “First House“ program was registered in Parliament. They now work on it in the parliamentary commissions. “I hope it will be debated in the first reading next week and will be adopted in the final reading later. In two weeks it will be passed and the changes needed for further implementing the program will take effect,” stated Corneliu Padnevici.

Acting director of the Organization for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Petru Gurgurov said over 120 state financial guarantees have been provided for beneficiaries of the program so far and the number of applicants increases. The average age of the beneficiaries is 31 and this shows that the program is popular among the young people. “The families represent almost 75% of those who raised such loans and we are glad that the program supports the already formed couples and will help them succeed at home,” stated Petru Gurgurov.

On June 5, the Cabinet approved a legislative initiative providing that the young people who own less than six square meters of dwelling per family member could apply to the “First House” program on the grounds that they do not have enough dwelling space.
