The limit on the incomes from sales of the patentees may be 100,000 lei within 12 months from 2013, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a bill with amendments to a number of legal documents concerning the fiscal and customs policies for the next year.
According to the Ministry of Finance, if this limit is set at 100,000 lei, the tax evasion schemes will be easier combated and the patent holders will be stimulated to shift to a certain legal organizational form (private company, limited liability company, or joint stock company) when their businesses develop. The limit on incomes was fixed based on the ceiling of 100,000 lei for voluntarily registering as VAT taxpayer.
Currently, the ceiling on the incomes from sales of the private individuals working under patent is 300,000 lei.
The type of activity “Compiling of Bookkeeping Reports” is proposed to be excluded from the list of activities performed under patent so as to gradually decrease the types of patent-based entrepreneurial activities. The Ministry of Finance considers that the persons who provide such services at present have knowledge of accountancy and will not encounter difficulties in creating a company and keeping financial accounts.
