The director general of Air Moldova airline Iulian Scorpan was transferred to the post of vice director. His place was taken by the financial director Mircea Meleca. Contacted by IPN, the head of the Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure’s press service Irina Gasca said that Mircea Meleca will hold the post of director general on an interim basis.
According to Irina Gasca, the changes in the administration of Air Moldova are elements of a transition period through which the company goes. A contest will be announced in the near future to designate the director general.
The airline’s spokesmen Victor Chironda said that Air Moldova has two administration directions – administrative and technical, while Iulian Scorpan is responsible for flights. He added that the Ministry of Transport will set up a commission that will decide whether the airline will be privatized or conceded.
