Certificates allowing to vote can be obtained by September 4 inclusive

The national electoral offices will issue certificates allowing the holders to vote in the September 5 constitutional referendum at any polling place in the country by September 4 inclusive, the secretary of the Central Election Commission Iurie Ciocan said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. Speaking about the practice of issuing such certificates during the previous campaigns, Iurie Ciocan said mostly students ask for them. “As the students are now on vacation, they can apply for the certificate to the electoral office situated in their settlement,” he added. The Coalition for Free and Fair Elections earlier requested the Ministry of Eduction to provide the students living in dormitories with residence visas as soon as possible. Iurie Ciocan said that after the students obtain the certificate at their place of residence, they will be able to vote at any polling place, no matter where they have the domicile.
