Certain radio and TV stations might be temporarily disconnected

A number of radio and TV stations could be disconnected between June 8 and 12, Info-Prim Neo reports. The viewers and listeners that receive television and radio programs from Straseni Station will not be able to watch the programs TV Moldova 1, Prime, 2 Plus, EuTV and NIT and the radio stations Programul I National, Antena C, Europa Libera and Radio France International between 9.00 and 18.00. The Ministry of Information Development says that the repair works are carried out in accordance with the plan for current (capital) repair of the technical TV and radio equipment of IS ”Radiocomunicatii” for 2009. Under the plan, the technical radio and television equipment can be disconnected. An official of the technical department of IS “Radiocomunicatii” has told Info-Prim Neo that they will be checking the signal centers at all the stations, including the radiant systems. Such works are carried out every year in order to ensure the smooth running of the equipment. The radio and TV retransmission station covers about 80 kilometers for television and approximately 65 kilometers forradio, including Chisinau, Straseni, Hancesti, Calarasi, Orhei, Anenii Noi, Criuleni, Nisporeni, Ungheni, Telenesti, Vadul lui Voda and other districts.
