The administration of the Central Market in Chisinau says that they are ready to deal with the high temperatures. “Though all the market halls are under private ownership, the market’s administration takes care that the temperature in them is appropriate. The sale of meat and dairy products outside halls is banned,” the director of the Central Market Ion Stratulat has told Info-Prim Neo. As the consummation of electricity is high, the fridges and air conditioning systems do not always work properly, Stratulat confessed, stressing yet that the situation is under control. He also said that there are several artesian wells on the territory of the market and the company’s employees are provided with drinkable water. Eleven medical units set up in the marketplace will provide assistance to all those that will be affected by the hot weather. The place is cleaned according to the timetable. During dog days, the territory will be sprinkled with water for several times a day, Ion Stratulat added. Employees of the veterinary center and of the preventive medicine center check daily the food products offered for sale.
