The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has validated the mandate of MP Stefan Grigoriev joining the Communist Party (CP) in the Parliament. The CP sought to initiate the validation process after the former MP Sergiu Stati was appointed as ambassador of Moldova in Kiev, Ukraine. The decision took effect after the publication of the “Official Monitor of Moldova” of November 17. Stefan Grigoriev was born in 1949 and now holds the position of head of the protection and social assistance Division of the Causeni Raion Council. He is the 69-th in the list of the Communist Party for the parliamentary elections dated 6 March 2005. The Communist Party holds 56 mandates of MP of 101 in Moldovan Parliament.
