The section of Ștefan cel Mare Blvd in Chisinau between the streets Maria Cebotari and Vasile Alecsandri will be inaccessible to vehicle traffic starting Saturday at 2:00 p.m. until Tuesday at 5:00 a.m., IPN reports.
The General Police Inspectorate said the restrictions will be applied to ensure the smooth running of the cultural and artistic events that will be staged to celebrate the Patron Saint Day of Chisinau.
“We urge drivers to comply with the requirements of the traffic police that will streamline road traffic and to avoid parking cars in forbidden places so as not to create obstacles for other road users,” said the Inspectorate.
This year, the Patron Saint Day of Chisinau will be celebrated for two days – on Sunday, October 13, and on Monday, October 14, when the feast of the Protection of the Mother of God or the Intercession of the Theotoko is observed.
