A number of centers to support people infected with tuberculosis will be opened in the Transnistrian region. Their personnel will include doctors, social workers and psychologists, IPN reports, with reference to the local press.

The centers will be set up in Tiraspol, Bender, Slobozia, Grigoriopol, Dubasari and Camenca within a project supported by the Center for Health Policies and Studies (PAS). Such a center has worked in Rabnita for several years.

The areas for the new centers were already identified and laying out works are not carried out there.

Tuberculosis is a dangerous social disease and the given centers will provide the necessary information related to the treatment of this disease and the particularities that the population should know.

The local press reported that 536 persons were diagnosed with TB in Transnistria last year, by 60 persons more than in 2015.
