The enterprises Fintehinform, Fiscservinform and Vamservinform were reorganized into the Center of Information Technology in Finance. The reorganization process was completed on August 1. Corneliu Jaloba, who served as vice director of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology, was named as director of the new entity as a result of a public contest.

After the reorganization, of the 481 employees of the Center, about 70% were directly or indirectly involved in the provision of the services offered by the institution. Corneliu Jaloba expressed his conviction that the proper fulfillment of the Center’s main mission – administration and development of the information systems of the Ministry of Finance, the State Tax Service, the Customs Service and the Public Procreant Agency – will become a prerequisite for consolidating the new team of the Center.

Currently, the informatics products and services of the Center of Information Technology in Finance are used by accounts of 9,000 budget-funded institutions and about 52,000 business entities.
