Center of audiology, auditory prosthesis and medical-pedagogical rehabilitation opens in Chisinau

Children and grown-ups of Moldova, with auditory problems have the possibility to rehabilitate within the Republican Center of audiology, auditory prosthesis and medico-pedagogical rehabilitation, open recently within the Republican Clinic Children Center “Emilian Cotaga”. According to a press release of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, within the institution, the patient will be provided with specialized assistance, including performing diagnosis, recording and evaluation of need in auditory prosthesis. In the same time, the Center will ensure the organizational-methodic assistance for medico-sanitary institutions, cooperation with similar international centers in order to implement new prophylaxis, diagnostic, treatment, auditory prosthesis methods and rehabilitation of patients with hearing deficiency. The specialists of the center shall cooperate with specialists of the pedagogy field of specialized institutions for children with hearing deficiency and scientific researches and education institutions for rehabilitation of chi9ldren with hearing difficulties and their integration in the society. The center also makes scientific works in the field of audiology, including making surveys on death rate, invalidity, causes of hearing deficiencies among the population of Moldova.
