A rehabilitation center for children with disabilities will be inaugurated in Bender town on January 14. According to “Novyi Region” Agency, many children with disabilities go to specialized institutions and spend most of the time there. Specialists consider that these children must be brought up in the family, IPN reports.
The Transnistrian administration said there are about 60 disabled children in Bender and the day centers should be given priority. The parents can take the children to such centers only for rehabilitation procedures and medical and pedagogical assistance, while the other part of the time the child will spend in the family.
The rehabilitation center for children with disabilities in Bender will be set up in the building of the former railway hospital, where there is the Veterans House now. The veterans will be transferred to the old people’s home in Pervomaisc.
