The Center for Business Development (CDA) announced its official launch at a news conference that it could not organize while the Communists were in power as it was hindered in it its work. The Center's head Eduard Rosca said the organization aims to develop the members' capacity to attract foreign investments and access European funds, Info-Prim Neo reports. “We want to help those who want to make money, but do not know the business environment well, do not have money and partners in the country and abroad and do not have a solution in the present crisis conditions,” Rosca said. “Though we announce the launch only now, our Center started work much earlier and provided assistance to a number of persons. After following our advice, a family in Cioburciu village of Stefan Voda district started to earn 5,000 lei on average a week. Another family in Briceni earns now 2,000 lei a week.” Elena Katyshev,the Center's deputy head, said the organization now has 84 members. A member must fulfill a number of conditions, including pay a monthly tax of 300 lei. The representatives of the Center for Business Development said they have been contacted by many foreign economic entities that are ready to invest money in businesses in Moldova. Eduard Rosca announced that a foreign microfinance company, who is now being registered in Chisinau, is disposed to provide loans of up to 10,000 euros repayable in five years, with an interest rate of only 5%. The Center intends to implement projects in such areas as alternative energy, water cleaning, production and sale of spare parts for vehicles. “We aim to help the people make money and to make our country richer,” the conference organizers said.
