The ceiling on the annual taxable income obtained by private individuals will rise from 360,000 lei to 720,000 lei for these to benefit from the right to use personal exemption, says a bill to amend a number of normative documents referring to the fiscal and customs policy which was approved by the Government. According to the Ministry of Finance, the ceiling is adjusted to the latest economic realities, IPN reports.

Minister of Finance Veronica Sirețeanu said that in order to maintain the skilled labor force, to attract new specialists and to diversify the social package offered to employees, it is proposed extending the range of fiscal stimuli and to review the categories of costs incurred by the employer in favor of employees, which can be deducted for fiscal purposes.

This way, among the deductible costs will be the costs incurred by the employer to cover alternative childcare services, to provide sport season tickets and vouchers, to organize team-building, training courses, the costs associated with the contracting of medical services.

Under the bill, the deductible ceiling will also be raised for optional health insurance premiums to the average monthly official salary approved by the Government.
