Maria Tanase’s song “Lume, soro lume” (“People, Dear People”) is the central theme of the educational advertisements luanched by the Central Election Commission (CEC) for the November 28 legislative elections. They started to be broadcast by radio stations and TV channels on November 1 under the slogan “Vote, People”, Info-Prim Neo reports. The campaign is based on the folk song’s power to unite people of different ages, culture and social status, regardless of the place where they are, the central public authority says. CEC secretary Iurie Ciocan said that these adverts explain to the voter how and where they can vote and what documents they should have. For the first time, the advisements will be broadcast through such socialization networks as facebook, twitter and youtube.
