The Central Election Commission (CEC), after examining the financial reports of political parties for the first half of this year, determined that the Democratic Party (PDM) received donations that are larger than the permitted sum. The Commission will request the Tax Inspectorate to find out the origin of the given donations, IPN reports.
The CEC said seven parties didn’t present reports on spending for the first half of the year. Five parties violated again the legal provisions on the presentation of reports on election campaign funding in the required format and at the required time and will be fined 3,000 to 4,500 lei.
The deadline for presenting financial reports for January-June this year to the Commission was July 15.
