The Central Election Commission (CEC) on March 4 submitted the documents needed for confirming the results of the parliamentary elections of February 24, 2019 and for validating the seats of MP to the Constitutional Court, IPN reports.

The CEC issued the Constitutional Court with the decision and official report on the totaling of the election results in the national constituency and in single-member constituencies, the list of candidates elected in the national constituency and in single-member constituencies and the list of substitute candidates for the post of MP in the national constituency.

The Central Election Commission also presented the decision and official report on the totaling of the results of the national consultative referendum of February 24, 2019 and the report on the organization and holding of the plebiscite.

Within five days of the receipt of the documents from the CEC, but not before the challenges filed legally over the elections are definitively solved by courts, the Constitutional Court validates or invalidates the elections by a notice and also validates the seats of the elected MPs and confirms the lists of substitute candidate.
