CEC makes final election results public

A number of 1 732 944 voters or 63.35% of the persons eligible to vote took part in the November 28 elections. According to the final report presented by the Central Election Commission (CEC) on Monday, the PCRM will have 42 lawmakers in the 19th legislature of Moldova, the PLDM – 32, the PDM – 15, while the PL –12, Info-Prim Neo reports.
As many as 64,199 Moldovans have voted abroad.
The CEC will submit the final report on the election outcome to the Constitutional Court, which is to confirm the results and validate the seats of MP.
On December 1, the PCRM filed an application to the Constitutional Court, demanding that the votes be recounted as the results were calculated mistakenly and with violations of the electoral legislation.
