The Central Election Commission (CEC) has launched a web site to inform the Moldovan citizens about the April 5 elections. On www.voteaza.md, the voters will find information about voting procedures, the list of polling stations, including those 10 polling stations on the Nistru's right bank for the voters from the Transnistria area, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Posted there is a list of documents on the basis of which the vote is allowed and information for the voters from abroad: the addresses and contacts of the Moldovan missions abroad.
CEC deputy chairwoman Renata Lapti told a news conference on Monday that the awareness-raising campaign was directed towards target groups, depending on the age factor.
“This is the first awareness-raising campaign organized by the CEC and its actions are structured under a single concept. Stickers, billboards, banners, flyers are being distributed all over the country and at its borders. Info materials will also be distributed to the people buying train and bus tickets,” Renata Lapti said.
The slogan of the campaign is: “Your vote matters! Don't hesitate, vote!” The campaign is easy to be identified by the citizens since the “v” from the word “voteaza” (vote in Romanian) is like a human character with the left hand up, as if inviting to vote.
The CEC representatives did not specify the cost of the awareness-raising campaign, but said the money was offered by the European Union, the UN Development Program and the International Organization for Migration.
