The Central Election Commission (CEC) Monday registered the first 12 election contenders that submitted the necessary document last week. One of the 12 contenders, the Communists Party, was given 48 hours to remove an identified irregularity, Info-Prim Neo reports. Two candidates on the PCRM's lists - Anatolie Popusoi and Aliona Babiuc – were written as members of other parties. “If the Communists Party does not remove this shortcoming, the CEC will not register it as a participant in the election campaign,” said CEC secretary Iurie Ciocan. “These persons remain on the list. There is no problem. Simply, the CEC has not been informed on time,” said the secretary of the PCRM's Central Committee Iurie Muntean. As to the early elections, the MP said the PCRM does not have serious opponents. The chairwoman of the National Liberal Party Vitalia Pavlichenko said she is glad the fears that the party would be removed from the first place in ballots did not come true. She stated the party's slogan in the election campaign is: “The PNL wins the majority and restores dignity”. The first deputy head of the European Action Movement Anatol Petrencu said the order in which the candidates will be written in the list will be decided after analyzing the results of the election campaign. “The list will be topped by Veaceslav Untila. He will be followed by respectful persons,” he stated. Victor Osipov, the deputy chairman of the Moldova Noastra Alliance (AMN), said the party is ready for the election campaign. We have distributed the posters and agreed all the steps. We aim to poll at least 10% of the vote in elections. The future of the democratic coalition in Moldova depends on the AMN and we will do our duty,” he said, adding tomorrow morning he will make public his decision about his seat in the Cabinet.
