Eight electoral commissions of out-of-country polling places decided to extend the voting time. The polling station in Tel Aviv (Israel) will work by one hour longer, while the polling stations in Iași (Romania), Mestre (Italy), Villeneuve-Saint-Georges (France), Kasell (Germany) and Frankfurt-on-Main (Germany) by two hours longer, IPN quoted CEC president Dorin Cimil as saying in a press briefing.

The official noted all the polling stations established in Moldova were closed at 9pm, with one exception. A polling station in Sadova village of Călăraș district decided to extend the voting process by 45 minutes because the electoral functionaries hadn’t returned with the mobile ballot box.

Dorin Cimil said the electoral process took place without major incident and in conditions of full transparency. According to the data provided by the General Police Inspectorate, 173 notifications of different violations and incidents were recorded by 7pm. There were reported 22 cases of road blocking, one case of blocking of the polling place, 12 cases of photographing of the ballot, ten cases of voter corruption, 59 cases of organized transportation of voters, 13 cases of campaigning, 14 cases of placing of electoral advertisement and nine cases of violation of the pandemic safety measures.

The CEC was informed by an election observation mission about the unsealing of the mobile ballot box before the closure of the polling place in Lipcani, Briceni. The case is investigated.
