CEC constitutes seven electoral councils for May 14 elections

The Central Election Commission (CEC) has set up seven electoral councils for the organization and holding of the new local elections of May 14 this year. Within three days, the councils will choose their administration from among members and will then make public the information about the place, date and hour of acceptance of documents for registering candidates for mayor, IPN reports, quoting the central electoral authority.

The CEC has also accredited 13 national observers of the public association “Promo-LEX” to oversee the May 14 elections.

New mayoral elections on May 14 will take place in Mereni village of Anenii Noi district, Hirova of Calarasi district, Pervomaisc of Causeni district, Tipala and Ulmu of Ialoveni district, Racovat of Soroca district and Tvardita town of Taraclia district.
